What It Does

QueueMaster automates After Effects render queue setup by linking label colors to render presets. Assign a label to a comp, run the script, and it applies your chosen render settings, output modules, file paths, and versioning rules. Built for teams and fast-turnaround projects, it uses relative file paths so you can move projects without reconfiguring outputs every time.

Key Features

Template assignment. Link up to 32 output modules per render queue item to any label color. Define render settings templates, output module templates, and file naming conventions once, then apply them with a click.

Relative file paths. QueueMaster bases all output directories on your project file location. Move the project, and the outputs move with it. Non-existent folders are created automatically, including subfolders that mirror your bin hierarchy.

Versioning. Auto-detects existing versions (QuickTime or image sequences) and increments the version number. You can customize the number of digits and choose a new archival versioning method that doesn’t reset when you move old renders.

File path variables. Choose from over 50 variables (date, time, comp resolution, frame rate, layer count, duration, project panel comments) to build custom file paths and names. A live preview shows the result before you render.

Quick Labels. Assign presets by highlighting comps in the bin and clicking customizable buttons (text and color). No need to remember which label goes with which preset. Add notes to labels, visible by holding Shift when hovering over a button.

Do Not Render. Apply a specific label to un-queue incomplete work and prevent accidental renders.

Shareable settings files. QueueMaster saves its configuration to a file you can back up, email, or store on a network drive. Teams can use the same settings file to ensure consistent outputs. Read Only mode prevents accidental edits.

RenderHogs integration. If you use RenderHogs (sold separately), QueueMaster can auto-enable all hogs and disable substitutes before rendering.

Who It’s For

Useful for motion designers and editors who render multiple formats or versions per project (client approval, work-in-progress, final delivery, proxies). Teams benefit from shared settings files and consistent output structures. If you frequently juggle different render phases or need to keep files organized by date, resolution, or client, this handles the setup so you don’t have to.
