What It Does
pt_ContactSheet turns footage or precomps into organized frame layouts. Place markers on the frames you want to include, set your layout preferences, and generate a contact sheet in one click. It handles the math for columns, rows, and pages automatically.
Key Features
Marker-based selection. Only frames with layer markers get included, and you can trim the layer to specify a range. This gives you precise control over which frames appear in your layout.
Automatic layout calculation. When you select a source layer, the script figures out how many columns, rows, and pages are needed based on your markers. No manual counting required.
Adjustable spacing and alignment. The Scale setting defaults to your layer’s current scale. Comp Size uses your current composition dimensions. Alignment lets you choose between even distribution or top-left alignment. Spacing adds room between frames, useful when you need space below frames for storyboard notes or client comments.
Iterative workflow. Generate a sheet, preview the first page, hit undo if you need changes, adjust settings, and regenerate. The process is quick enough to experiment with different layouts.
Who It’s For
Useful for motion designers who need to present frame selections to clients, animators creating storyboards, or anyone who needs to organize footage frames into printable or shareable layouts. Works well when you’re pulling key frames from longer sequences for review.
