What It Does
Pixelar constructs characters from 50 unique animated squares that form a complete modular pixel typeface. Each character animates in with built-in motion, and the same squares can build custom typography, pixel art, or transitions. Includes uppercase, lowercase, numbers, accents, punctuation, and special characters (% & @ $ €). Vector shapes stay sharp at any resolution.
Key Features
Full character set. Complete A-Z uppercase and lowercase, numbers 0-9, accents (ÀÁÂÃÄÅ, àáâãäå), punctuation, and symbols including currency marks, arrows, and mathematical operators.
8 customizable colors. Control color combinations to match your project’s palette. Colors apply across all characters and animated squares.
50 modular animated squares. Use the individual animated building blocks to construct custom pixel art, logos, or transition elements beyond the preset characters.
JSX and AEP formats. Ships as both a lightweight JSX file (integrates with Font Manager) and an organized After Effects project file with all animated characters.
Companion tool integration. Works with Font Manager for typing workflows (size, tracking, line spacing, alignment, time offset) or the free Animography Controller for manual character placement and parenting.
Who It’s For
Motion designers working on retro-themed projects, game-style graphics, or anyone needing animated pixel typography with built-in motion. The modular square system makes it useful for lower-thirds, title sequences, or transition elements where pixel aesthetics fit the brief.
