What It Does
Pixel Pusher moves layers by specific pixel amounts using their transform position properties. Instead of dragging or typing values into the timeline, you set a pixel value and push layers exactly where you need them. Works with XYZ coordinates, so you can nudge layers horizontally, vertically, or into Z-space for 3D work.
The plugin operates on whatever layers you have selected. Pick one layer or twenty, set your pixel amount, and push them all at once. It modifies actual position keyframes, so the changes stick after you close the panel.
Key Features
Multiple layer support. Select as many layers as you want and push them together. The plugin processes them recursively, so it works through nested selections.
Keyframe support. Pixel Pusher creates or modifies position keyframes rather than just shifting static values. Useful when you’re animating and need to offset keyframed motion by a fixed amount.
3D support. The Z-axis gets equal treatment. Push layers forward or back in 3D space with the same precision as X and Y.
Multiplier key. Hold a modifier while pushing to multiply the pixel value on the fly. If you set 10 pixels and use the multiplier, you might push 50 pixels instead (depending on your multiplier setting).
Custom hotkeys. Map push directions to keyboard shortcuts. Works when the panel is active. Settings include separate keys for left, right, up, down, forward, and back. Supports both Mac and Windows key combinations.
Decimal values. Not locked to whole numbers. Enter 2.5 pixels if that’s what your layout needs.
Responsive UI. The panel works horizontally or vertically depending on how you dock it.
Who It’s For
Motion designers who need precise layer alignment without switching to the timeline. Useful for grid-based layouts, infographics, or any project where layers need to land on specific coordinates. The keyframe support makes it relevant for animation work where you’re nudging animated paths.
The hotkey system is the main time-saver. If you’re constantly nudging layers during layout, mapping directions to single keystrokes removes a lot of repetitive clicking.
Pricing
This is a pay-what-you-want plugin with a suggested price of $7. Individual users can name their own price, but businesses need to pay the suggested amount for a valid license. One-time purchase, no subscription.
