What It Does
Path Selection Mode changes how you select path points on shape layers in After Effects. Instead of the default multi-step selection process, this plugin lets you click once on any path point to select it directly. A dedicated UI panel gives you a mode toggle button, and keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl + up/down arrows) make path point selection faster when working with complex shapes.
Key Features
One-click path point selection. Once activated, clicking any path point on a shape layer selects it immediately, no extra steps required.
Mode switching button. The script UI includes a toggle that switches between normal mode and selection mode. You don’t have to dig through menus each time you want to change how path selection works.
Keyboard shortcuts. Using Ctrl with the up and down arrow keys cycles through path points on selected shapes, useful when fine-tuning animations or adjusting multiple points in sequence.
The plugin works with shape layers specifically. If you’re animating text along paths, adjusting masks converted to shapes, or building motion graphics from scratch, this saves the repetitive clicking that After Effects normally requires for path point work.
Who It’s For
Motion designers working with shape layers in After Effects. If you spend time animating individual path points or adjusting shape geometry frequently, this plugin reduces the friction in your workflow.

Path Selection Mode uses a pay-what-you-want model. While the standard price is listed at $19.99, you can choose your own price when purchasing. A trial version is available that shows an activation code panel each time you use it.
