What It Does

Path Me! solves a common studio problem: quickly sharing file locations with teammates. Select any asset in your project panel, timeline, or render queue, click scan, and the file path copies to your clipboard, ready to paste into Slack or Teams. The script also works in reverse, importing files when someone pastes a path to you.

Key Features

Single-click path extraction. Select one or more assets and copy their server paths to clipboard or save to a text file. Works on footage, renders, or entire compositions.

Flexible scanning modes. Grab paths from specific selections, scan the entire active panel, or dive into a comp to capture all nested sources. An option to include sub-comps means you can map out complex project structures in seconds.

Cross-platform path handling. Understands both Mac and PC path formats, useful when working across different operating systems in the same studio.

Clipboard import. Paste a file path someone sent you and Path Me! imports it into your project. No more hunting through folder structures or asking for screenshots.

Who It’s For

Useful for studios with shared render farms or network storage where you frequently need to point colleagues to specific files. If you’ve ever typed out a file path by hand or screenshotted a folder location, this script eliminates that step.

Pricing

Path Me! uses a pay-what-you-want model. The suggested price is $9.99, but individuals can choose their own price for personal or educational use. Commercial users are expected to pay the suggested amount.
