What It Does
MTLB (Make The Logo Bigger) searches your After Effects composition for any layer containing the word “logo” in its name and applies an automatic scaling adjustment. The plugin uses what the developer calls a “patent-pending” scaling factor to enlarge those layers by what they describe as “just the right amount.”
This is a satirical plugin created by Illo, poking fun at the common client request to make logos larger in video projects. While functional, it’s primarily meant as a humorous commentary on the design review process.
Key Features
Automatic layer detection. The plugin scans your composition for layers with “logo” in the name, no manual selection needed.
Proprietary scaling algorithm. Applies a fixed scaling factor the developers won’t disclose, supposedly calibrated from years of client feedback.
One-click operation. Run the script and it handles the rest.
Who It’s For
Video editors and motion designers who want a quick laugh, or who genuinely need to batch-scale logo layers and don’t mind the fixed scaling amount. Given its satirical nature, this is more of a novelty tool than a serious production utility.
Pricing
MTLB uses a pay-what-you-want model for individual users. You set your own price, including free. Businesses and teams are asked to pay the suggested amount for a valid license. The suggested price typically shown on aescripts is nominal, reflecting the plugin’s tongue-in-cheek purpose.
Compatible with After Effects CC 2015, CC 2014, CC, and CS6.
