What It Does
MOBO_Utils bundles 14+ single-purpose tools that handle common but tedious tasks in After Effects. Each tool does exactly one thing, from duplicating layers hundreds of times to extracting color palettes from images or exporting animated PNGs.
Key Features
MultiDuplicate lets you duplicate a selected layer a specified number of times in one action. Useful when setting up particle systems or repetitive shape layer setups where you need 50 or 800 copies immediately.
ColorPalette generates dominant colors from an image layer and adds them to color pickers. The extracted colors can be linked via expressions, making it quick to build color schemes based on reference imagery.
Color Transfer recolors one layer to match the color characteristics of another. Works with 16-bit and 32-bit per channel projects, useful for matching footage or applying a specific color mood from a reference image.
GIF Export adds a native GIF output module to the After Effects Render Queue. Currently doesn’t support transparency.
APNG Export renders Animated PNG files directly from After Effects with 24-bit color and 8-bit transparency support.
Arrow is an effect that creates customizable arrows with 39 arrowhead styles, straight or Bézier curves, and the option to convert to shape layers.
Add Path Vertices divides masks or shape layer paths by adding evenly spaced vertices at a specified distance.
BakeAllExpressions bakes all expressions in selected layers at once. Choose to bake the current frame or the entire work area.
SelectSameProperties finds and selects matching properties across layers. Select a fill color in one shape layer and this tool highlights the same property in every layer of the composition.
PasteImage pastes an image from the clipboard directly into a composition without manually importing it.
CopyColor is a hex color picker that copies the color under your cursor to the clipboard, ready to paste into any color parameter.
CollectFonts gathers all fonts used in a project and copies them to a chosen folder. Only supports single fonts per text layer.
RemoveAllExpressions strips all expressions from selected layers in one action.
Who It’s For
Motion designers and editors who work with repetitive tasks or complex setups. MultiDuplicate and SelectSameProperties are particularly useful for projects with large numbers of layers. Color Transfer and ColorPalette suit anyone working with specific color schemes or reference imagery.
Pricing
MOBO_Utils uses a pay-what-you-want model. The regular price is $24.99, but you name your own price. The plugin uses a sliding price structure where early buyers lock in a lower price and receive all future tools added to the collection for free. As more tools are added, the new purchase price increases.
