What It Does
Markers Sync keeps markers aligned across multiple compositions. Select source compositions and target comps, and the script synchronizes all marker timings automatically. Works with both composition markers (CC 2017+) and layer markers, handling the synchronization whether you’re working with nested comps or pre-comps referenced in multiple places.
Key Features
Multiple layer support. Sync markers across as many layers as you need in a single operation, not just one layer at a time.
Dynamic layer selection. If you select specific layers, only those get synced. Select nothing, and the script syncs all layers in the composition.
Merge function. Add new markers without deleting existing ones using the merge checkbox or holding SHIFT when running the script. Useful when you want to combine marker sets from different sources.
Time Remapping and Time Stretch support. Markers stay correctly aligned even when your layers are time-stretched or use time remapping. The script calculates adjusted timings so markers appear at the right moments in the modified timeline.
CC 2017 and later versions can sync composition markers directly with layer markers in other compositions, no extra marker layers needed. Earlier versions still work but require a marker layer as an intermediary.
Who It’s For
Useful for editors working with audio sync across multiple comps, animators coordinating timing between character rigs and background elements, or anyone managing complex projects where marker alignment matters. Also helpful for template builders who need markers to propagate correctly through nested composition structures.
