What It Does
Marker Maestro Pro adds the markers panel After Effects should have shipped with. It displays all composition and layer markers in a single spreadsheet-style interface where you can view timecodes, comments, colors, and layer assignments at a glance. Every field is editable directly in the panel, no hunting through timeline menus.
Key Features
Direct editing. Click any marker property and change it immediately. Press Return or Tab to confirm, no dialog boxes required.
Batch operations. Select multiple markers and edit properties, shift timing, or change colors all at once through a right-click context menu.
Timecode shortcuts. Type “+25” in a 24fps timeline to shift a marker forward by one frame and one second. Type “-2.0” to jump back two seconds. The plugin understands shorthand like “1.2.0” or “010200”.
Copy and paste across layers. Select markers and paste them to multiple selected layers or even multiple comps in your project. Useful when building out animation sequences that repeat across different compositions.
Vertical movement. Change a marker’s layer field and it jumps to that layer. Horizontal and vertical repositioning in one interface.
Work area sync. Set your comp’s work area to match a selected marker’s position. Helpful for isolating specific sections during review or rendering.
Who It’s For
Anyone working with complex timelines where markers track animation cues, audio sync points, or client notes. Version 2.0 (released June 2025) rebuilt the UI from scratch with improved layout and batch editing tools.
Pricing
