What It Does
mamoworldJSON connects After Effects properties to external JSON files. Select a property, click connect, and the plugin generates both the JSON file and the necessary expressions. When you update the JSON file, your project updates automatically. Built on After Effects’ data-driven animation features, it removes the manual work of importing CSV files and writing expressions.
Key Features
Multiple property types. Link texts, colors, 1D/2D/3D properties, and paths. The plugin handles most property types you’d need for dynamic content.
Flexible color formats. Specify colors in the JSON file as hexcode (#ffffff), RGB arrays with 0-255 range ([255,255,255]), or RGBA arrays with 0-1 range ([1.0,1.0,1.0,1.0]).
Layer visibility control. When linking layer opacity, use keywords instead of numeric values. “yes”, “true”, “enabled”, or “show” sets opacity to 100%. “no”, “false”, “disabled”, or “hide” sets it to 0%.
Modifiable expressions. The generated expressions are structured to be tweakable. If you need custom calculations with your data, the code is written to make modifications straightforward rather than buried in complexity.
Who It’s For
Useful for projects where text, colors, or numeric values change frequently. Infographics that need regular data updates, localized versions of the same project, or client presentations where numbers shift constantly. Instead of opening After Effects to change every instance, you edit a text file and the project reflects those changes.
Pricing
This plugin uses a pay-what-you-want model. Individual users can pay any amount they choose (suggested minimum $5). Businesses and teams must pay the suggested price to receive a valid license.
