What It Does
Keyless lets you animate any After Effects property using expressions instead of keyframes. Select a property, choose a Penner easing type, and the script generates start/end value controllers that can be exposed in the Essential Graphics panel. This gives Premiere Pro editors direct control over animation timing and values without touching After Effects.
Key Features
Smart property detection. Keyless automatically identifies the property type you’ve selected and creates the appropriate control, whether that’s sliders for opacity, point controls for position, or angle controls for rotation. No manual setup required.
Penner easing equations. Move beyond After Effects’ basic linear() function. Keyless includes Sine, Quad, Cubic, Quart, Quint, Circ, Expo, Back, Bounce, and Elastic easing types, plus a linear option added in v1.1.0. The overshoot slider (default value 1.70158) gives you precise control over Back easing behavior.
Path property support. As of version 1.1.0, you can apply Keyless to path properties using keyframes as reference points. This extends expression-based animation to mask paths and shape layer paths.
MOGRT-ready controllers. The generated controllers, start time, end time, start value, and end value, are designed to be added directly to the Essential Graphics panel. This gives Premiere Pro editors control over animation parameters without needing After Effects.
Who It’s For
This tool is built for motion designers creating Motion Graphics Templates (MOGRTs) for Premiere Pro editors. If you regularly build templates where editors need to adjust animation timing or values, Keyless eliminates the complexity of writing custom expressions for each property. It’s also useful for anyone who wants cleaner, expression-based animation systems instead of managing layers of keyframes.
Pricing
Keyless uses a pay-what-you-want model. The suggested price is $19.98, but you can choose your own amount. The license is perpetual (no subscription) and comes in Single User, Multi-User (quantity-based), or Floating Server (concurrent network users) options. If you’ve purchased previous versions, upgrade pricing is available when logged in. A trial version is available to test before buying.
