What It Does

Isometric Rigger constrains After Effects layers to move along isometric 2D axes. Import your isometric illustration, select the layers, click “Rig”, and the script generates three slider controls for X, Y, and Z position in isometric space. This removes the tedious manual work of keeping layers aligned when animating isometric designs.

Key Features

One-click rigging. Select one or more layers and press the Rig button. The script creates three positional sliders for each layer, controlling movement along the isometric axes. No manual expression writing needed.

Multi-layer support. Rig entire illustration stacks at once. Each layer gets its own set of sliders while maintaining proper isometric alignment between them.

ScriptUI panel. Docks in your After Effects workspace like any native panel. Access it from the Window menu and position it where you need it.

Expression-based. The script uses expressions to link layer position to the slider controls, keeping the rig live and adjustable. The sliders animate like any other property.

Who It’s For

Motion designers working with isometric illustrations, exploded diagrams, or technical animations. Particularly useful for animating architectural visualizations, product assemblies, or infographic elements that need to move along specific spatial axes.

Pricing

Pay-what-you-want model with a suggested minimum of $9.99. Individual users can contribute any amount. Businesses and teams should pay the suggested price for a valid license.

Compatibility

Works with After Effects CS6 and later. Tested on Windows and Mac. One requirement: layers must use a single Position property, not separate X and Y dimensions.
