What It Does
This bundle includes four plugins that handle different color and channel tasks in After Effects and Premiere Pro. Each tool addresses a specific compositing or grading need, from channel manipulation to broadcast-safe color clamping.
Key Features
ft-CombineRGA. Shifts or combines channels from a second source. Works in 32-bit (unlike After Effects’ built-in channel tools) and uses a simpler interface. Useful when you need to rebuild or remap RGBA channels during compositing.
ft-Color Gray. Applies gradients based on grayscale values. Takes your source’s luminance and uses it as a lookup table to colorize footage with a gradient from a second layer. Good for stylized color treatments or isolating tonal ranges.
ft-Brightness Check. Flags pixels that exceed or fall below specified brightness thresholds. Similar to zebra striping on cameras. Helps identify clipped highlights or crushed blacks before finalizing a grade.
ft-Clamp. Legalizes color values to prevent exceeding broadcast or display limits. Lets you define minimum and maximum RGB values to keep your output within spec.
All plugins support 32-bit workflows and include Multi-Frame Rendering (MFR) support and Apple Silicon compatibility as of version 1.0.
Who It’s For
Colorists and compositors who need precise channel control or broadcast-safe output. The 32-bit support makes ft-CombineRGA particularly relevant for VFX work where you’re manipulating render passes. The brightness checking and clamping tools are practical for anyone delivering to broadcast or client specs.
