What It Does
FlowPath animates layers along mask paths using expressions instead of keyframes. You control the entire animation with a single slider (0–100), and the motion stays fully editable. Change the path mid-animation, and the layer follows the new route instantly. No re-rigging, no baking.
The plugin uses native After Effects mask paths as the motion route. Draw or adjust the path, and FlowPath responds in real time. This makes it practical for motion graphics that need to adapt quickly, like logo reveals, character movement, or icon animations.
Key Features
Single-slider control. Drive the entire animation with a 0–100 progress slider. Reverse the motion by flipping the value, no keyframe editing required.
Live path switching. Assign multiple mask paths to a layer and switch between them at any point. The animation updates immediately.
Loop modes. Choose between standard looping, ping-pong (back-and-forth yoyo motion), or roundtrip motion across multiple paths. Useful for repeating cycles or orbital effects.
Multi-layer sync. Animate several layers along the same path with synchronized or offset timing. Good for trails, staggered motion, or parallel movement.
Auto Orient toggle. Rotate layers to face the direction of travel, or lock rotation for UI elements or flat graphics.
Non-destructive workflow. All settings are expression-based. You can change paths, timing, and motion type without breaking the animation.
