What It Does

Feedback Studio redraws frames with slight variations to create video echo effects. Like an audio delay but for video, each frame re-enters the feedback loop with adjustments to position, rotation, color, or brightness. The result ranges from subtle trails to complex fractal patterns and kaleidoscopic imagery.

The plugin is GPU-accelerated, allowing real-time playback at full resolution on capable workstations. This makes it practical for iterative experimentation rather than waiting through renders.

Key Features

Integrated keying. Built-in luma and chroma key controls let you isolate parts of the frame before they enter the feedback loop. Useful for creating transparent trails around moving subjects.

Transform controls. Adjust feedback with X/Y translation, zoom, and rotation. Small values create subtle echoes; larger values produce dramatic spirals or radial patterns.

Three mirror modes. Apply symmetry to generate fractal and kaleidoscopic imagery. Each mode produces different geometric patterns from the same source.

Color adjustments. Modify hue, saturation, and brightness on each feedback iteration. A slight hue shift creates rainbow trails; brightness changes fade echoes over time.

Negative filter with recursion. Invert colors within the feedback loop for high-contrast psychedelic effects.

Blur and sharpen. Soften or crisp the feedback image on each pass. Blur creates dreamy trails; sharpen maintains detail through multiple iterations.

Who It’s For

Motion designers working on music videos, experimental visuals, or retro analog aesthetics will find the most use here. The fractal modes suit abstract backgrounds for broadcast packages. The echo effects work well for transitions or temporal distortions in narrative work.

If your projects lean toward clean corporate motion graphics, this probably isn’t in your toolkit. It’s specialized for feedback-based visual effects.
