What It Does
EmojiKit is a library of over 50 animated and still emojis built specifically for After Effects. Each emoji is constructed with native shape layers, making them clean, scalable, and compatible with Lottie exports. Add emojis animated, still, or looping to any project without external dependencies.
The plugin provides quick access to the most commonly used emojis through a panel interface. Once added, each emoji exists as a precomp you can hand off, edit, or customize without needing the plugin installed.
Key Features
Shape layers only. Every emoji is made from native shape layers with no effects applied. This keeps projects clean and animations sharp at any scale.
Lottie ready. Because emojis use only shape layers, they export directly through Bodymovin for web and mobile use.
Editable precomps. Each emoji lives in its own composition. Open it, adjust the animation, change colors, or modify timing. Yellow skin tone is the default, but you can recolor any shape layer manually.
Three animation states. Use emojis animated (their full animation), still (static frame), or looping (repeating animation). Switch between states as needed for your project.
Free lifetime updates. Future emoji additions, new styles, and animation expansions come free to existing license holders.
Who It’s For
Motion designers working on UI animations, social media content, or projects that need expressive visual elements. Useful for realistic screen recordings, explanatory videos, or adding personality to title sequences. If you’re designing for web or mobile with Lottie, the built-in export compatibility saves conversion steps.
The library currently focuses on the most popular emojis rather than comprehensive coverage. You cannot upload custom emojis, though the developer accepts requests for future additions.
Pricing
EmojiKit uses pay-what-you-want pricing. While the standard price is listed as $39, you can name your own price during checkout. One-time purchase includes free updates for life. License allows use in commercial projects and client work, but you cannot sell or distribute the emoji animations as standalone products.
Compatible with After Effects 2020 and later.
