What It Does
EaseCopy separates two aspects of keyframe animation that After Effects normally treats as inseparable: the ease curve and the value. You can copy carefully-tuned velocity curves from one set of keyframes and apply them to another without touching the underlying values. Or copy values between keyframes while preserving their existing easing.
Key Features
Copy/Paste Eases. Select keyframes with custom easing curves and paste those curves onto different keyframes without changing their values. Useful when you’ve dialed in smooth motion on position keyframes and want to apply the same feel to rotation or opacity.
Copy/Paste Values. Move numeric values between keyframes while keeping their easing intact. Property types must match when pasting values.
Intelligent Scaling. EaseCopy analyzes your animation context and scales ease curves appropriately when pasting. It even flips eases for velocities traveling in opposite directions, so you don’t need to manually mirror curves.
Pass-Through Option. When working with three or more keyframes in a sequence, enable this mode to prioritize matching pass-through velocity for intermediary keyframes. Prevents velocity hiccups in longer animation chains.
KBAR Integration. Run all four functions (copy ease, paste ease, copy value, paste value) directly from KBAR without opening the script panel.
Keyboard Shortcuts. Includes standalone scripts for each function that you can assign to custom shortcuts via After Effects’ Keyboard Shortcuts Editor.
To paste, select the same number of keyframes as you copied (or a multiple of that number). Eases transfer between any interpolatable properties. Values require matching property types.
Who It’s For
Motion designers who refine keyframe curves manually in the Graph Editor rather than relying on default easy ease presets. Particularly helpful when building character animation rigs, complex kinetic typography, or any work where consistent motion feel across multiple properties matters.
