Duplicate Frame Remover scans your footage and identifies repeated frames, then removes them by adjusting the layer’s time-remapping channel. The plugin shares its detection engine with Magnum and works particularly well for gameplay captures, rotoscoping footage, or clips with pulldown artifacts.

Region of Interest tool. Define specific areas for frame detection, making the scan faster and more precise. The ROI feature is keyframable, so you can direct the analysis to different parts of the frame over time.
Retiming options. After removing duplicates, you can restore the footage to its original length using After Effects’ built-in Pixel Motion or Frame Mix retiming.
Threshold adjustment. Control sensitivity when working with compressed or noisy footage. For clean, uncompressed material, a threshold of 0.1 works well.
Processing speed. Version 3 processes 50% faster than earlier releases.
