What It Does
Copy Pasta streamlines image transfer in After Effects by letting you copy the current frame to your clipboard or paste images directly from your clipboard into the timeline. The plugin eliminates the typical multi-step process of saving files, then importing them.
Note: This plugin has been discontinued by Plugin Play. The developer recommends using imgPaster instead.
Key Features
Copy frames to clipboard. Export the current frame directly to your clipboard in a single click, bypassing the render queue for quick snapshots. Useful when sharing previews with clients or team members.
Paste images from clipboard. Drop images from your clipboard straight into After Effects without saving them to disk first. Works with screenshots, assets from Photoshop, or images copied from web browsers.
Transparency support. Both copying and pasting maintain alpha channels, making it practical for compositing work with transparent elements.
Render queue option. Choose to use the render queue for higher quality exports when needed, giving you control over output quality versus speed.
Auto-organize imports. Version 1.0.6 added the ability to store pasted images in a subfolder within your project directory, keeping imported clipboard assets organized.
Pricing
Copy Pasta was sold as a one-time purchase for $29 (regular price) before being discontinued. It is no longer available for purchase. Users looking for similar functionality should check out imgPaster, the successor recommended by the developer.
