What It Does
Concept Buddy connects AI generation tools directly into After Effects. Instead of bouncing between browser tabs and your composition, you interact with AI in real-time to generate design assets, iterate on concepts, and explore visual ideas without leaving your project.
The plugin targets concept development and experimental workflows. Generate packshot mockups, iterate on hand-drawn sketches, create VJ loops for live performances, or explore other visual concepts where speed matters more than pixel-perfect control.
Key Features
Real-time AI rendering. Changes happen as you work. Adjust inputs, tweak settings, and see results update in your composition without waiting for separate render passes.
Sketch-to-render workflows. Start with rough ideas and let the AI interpret your sketches into polished visuals. Useful for quick concept pitches or mood exploration.
VJ loop generation. Create looping animations for live performances or motion backgrounds. The AI handles pattern generation and seamless loops.
GPU acceleration. Requires an Nvidia GPU with at least 6GB VRAM for practical performance. You can disable GPU acceleration if needed, but renders will slow significantly. The trial version lets you test compatibility with your hardware before purchase.
8bpc and 32bpc support. Works in both 8-bit and 32-bit color depth projects. Note: 16bpc projects currently have a bug and are not supported.
