What It Does

Sequence Section Destroyer deletes specific frame ranges from rendered image sequences without opening Finder or Windows Explorer. When you modify a project and need to re-render only certain frames, this script removes the old frames so your render farm or network setup can replace them.

Key Features

Browse for sequences. Click Browse to select any frame from an image sequence on your system. The script identifies the full sequence automatically.

Get RQ Item Path. Pull the file path and frame range directly from a render queue output module. If your project has one render queue item with one output module, the script selects it automatically and populates start/end frames.

Get Work Area. Set deletion range from your composition’s work area in and out points. Visualize exactly which frames you’re removing before confirming.

Test mode. Run a dry run to verify which files will be deleted before committing. No confirmation prompt appears in test mode since nothing is actually removed.

Who It’s For

Useful for studios and freelancers working with multi-machine render setups or long image sequence renders. If you render to PNG or TIFF sequences for safety (so crashes don’t lose all progress), this script handles the tedious cleanup when you need to re-render sections after project changes.
