What It Does

BeatEdit Bundle 2 analyzes audio tracks and generates timeline markers at detected beats across Adobe Creative Suite. This lets you sync cuts, keyframes, and animations to music without manually tapping out the rhythm. The bundle includes separate plugins for After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Audition, each optimized for its host application.

In After Effects, it places markers that drive animation timing. In Premiere Pro, it creates sequence or clip markers for rhythm-based editing. In Audition, it helps match tempos between songs and loop tracks seamlessly.

Key Features

Beat detection. The engine finds not just downbeats but also rhythmically relevant peaks, giving you editing variation beyond the obvious 4/4 count. This matters when you want a cut on the snare hit instead of the kick drum.

Marker flexibility. In Premiere Pro, choose between sequence markers (visible across the entire timeline) or clip markers (attached to specific audio files). Both work with Premiere’s Automate to Sequence function for quick assembly edits.

After Effects integration. The plugin writes markers to your timeline and supports wiggling to the beat, repeating keyframes at intervals, and staggering layers based on detected rhythm. Useful for title reveals or motion graphics that pulse with the music.

Audition tempo matching. In Audition, detected beats help you align the tempo of two different songs or create seamless loops by identifying natural loop points in the rhythm.

Who It’s For

Music video editors who cut to rhythm, motion designers syncing animations to soundtracks, and anyone tired of manually placing markers every few frames. Also useful for podcast editors who need to align edits with speech rhythm or audio dynamics.
