What It Does
Mantis is a geometric monoline animated typeface with rounded line caps designed by Calango. The typeface features upper and lowercase letters, numbers, basic punctuation, and symbols. The stroke width animates from hairline to black, giving you control over thickness throughout the animation.

Key Features
Animatable stroke width. Adjust thickness dynamically from hairline thin to heavy black weights within the same character. This lets you create reveals where letters grow or shrink in weight as they animate on screen.
Completion slider. Controls the in and out animations from 0 to 100%. Combine this with stroke width adjustments to create smooth, varied reveals. You can use custom easing or bounce expressions to add personality to the timing.
Layering capability. Stack multiple instances of the same character at different stroke widths to create inline or overlap styles. This technique works well for title cards where you need dimensional text without moving to 3D.
JSX typeface format. The plugin uses a lightweight format that integrates with Font Manager. The JSX format is built with compCode, optimized for After Effects 2024 through 2020.
