What It Does
Anchor Point Mover repositions anchor points across multiple layers at once. Unlike After Effects’ native anchor point tool, which requires adjusting each layer individually, this script handles batch operations while keeping your existing keyframes intact. Select multiple layers, choose a position (corner, center, edge), and the script updates all anchor points without shifting your animation.
Works with footage layers, shape layers, solids, and text. For shape layers specifically, it can move individual shapes inside the layer while maintaining their alignment with other elements.
Key Features
Visual controls. The script provides a graphical interface where you click the position you want (top-left, center, bottom-right, etc.) rather than typing coordinates.
Animation preservation. Adjusting an anchor point normally shifts the layer’s position. This script compensates automatically, keeping your layer exactly where it was while moving the pivot point. If you have rotation or scale keyframes, they continue working as before.
Shape layer support. When working with shape layers containing multiple paths, you can reposition the anchor point for individual shapes without misaligning the composition. Useful when you need to rotate or scale a specific shape around a new center.
Batch processing. Select ten layers, fifty layers, whatever you need. The script applies the same anchor point adjustment to all selected layers in one action.
