What It Does
Align Pro fixes After Effects’ native alignment tool by adding features that should have been there from the start. Align or distribute layers with Illustrator-level control, right in the After Effects workspace.
This plugin has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase.
Key Features
Align to key layers. Select the layer you want everything else to align to first, then select the others. After Effects’ default tool doesn’t let you do this.
Distribute with exact spacing. Type a pixel value for the gap between layers instead of guessing. Useful when building UI elements or laying out multiple text blocks.
Center or average alignment. After Effects calculates the average center point when aligning layers to each other, which isn’t always what you want. This plugin gives you both options.
Align to title safe was added in version 1.2. Quickly position layers within broadcast-safe areas without manual guides.
Ignore parents toggle. Parented layers throw off alignment math. Turn this on to align based on actual position, not inherited transforms.
Paragraph text detection. Choose whether text layers align by their anchor point or their full bounding box.
Responsive panel. The interface adapts when you resize it. Stretch it wide for a single-row layout, or keep it compact.
Who It’s For
Motion designers building modular UI, animators aligning rigged character parts, or anyone who’s been frustrated by After Effects’ align tool doing something unexpected. Particularly useful for projects with precise layout requirements.
Pricing
No longer available. The plugin was discontinued in 2025. Past pricing was approximately $10 based on community mentions, though the exact amount isn’t listed.
