What It Does

aiVideoGen connects After Effects to Replicate’s video generation models. Type a text prompt or use a frame from your current comp, and the plugin generates video using AI models like Kling 2.1, Google Veo-3, MiniMax Hailuo, PixVerse v5, or WAN 2.2. The result downloads, imports, and places automatically on your timeline, scaled and centered.

Key Features

Text-to-video and image-to-video. Generate from a written prompt or use a snapshot of your comp as a reference image. Works across all supported models.

Stage snapshot. Capture the current comp frame with one click to use as the image input. Some models (MiniMax Hailuo, PixVerse v5, WAN 2.2) support both first and last frame inputs for more control over start and end states.

Automatic import. Generated videos download, save to your project, and appear on the active comp timeline without manual file management.

Model-aware controls. The panel adjusts settings based on the selected model, offering relevant options for aspect ratio, duration, resolution, and quality.

Cost estimator. Shows estimated token cost per model before generation, so you know what each request will run.

API key management. Direct links to Replicate for setting up your account and purchasing tokens. Alerts appear for content blocks or insufficient credits.

Who It’s For

Useful for anyone experimenting with AI-generated video who wants to keep the process inside After Effects. You need a Replicate account and API key, as generation runs through their service. The panel requires After Effects version 25 or later.

On smaller monitors, the panel height may clip. The author recommends enabling stacked panel group mode and stretching vertically to access the scrollbar.

Pricing

One-time purchase at $12. You also need to buy Replicate tokens separately, as the plugin uses their API for video generation.
