What It Does
After Effects Shortcut Icons translates After Effects’ menu structure into 560 visual icons that work with Stream Deck hardware, Touch Portal software, and KBar. Instead of navigating menus, you press a button to split a layer, open a panel, or run a script. The icons mirror After Effects’ file structure, making them easy to locate.
Three visual styles are included: color-coded by menu category, black on transparent, and white on transparent. Each set comes in both labeled and unlabeled versions.
Key Features
Pre-built profiles. The package includes ready-to-use profiles for Stream Deck XL (10 pages, 166 buttons), Stream Deck Regular (9 pages, 111 buttons), and Touch Portal (10 pages, 170 buttons). All profiles support Mac and Windows with English keyboard layouts.
KBar integration. A KBar profile with 9 toolbars lets you access the same shortcuts directly inside After Effects without additional hardware.
Custom keyboard shortcuts. The package includes keyboard shortcut files for Mac and Windows to ensure button commands function correctly.
Reference manual. A 39-page PDF maps every icon to its corresponding After Effects function, organized by menu category.
File organization. Icons are arranged in folders that match After Effects’ menu structure (Layer, Composition, Edit, View, etc.), so finding the right icon takes seconds.
Who It’s For
This is useful if you already own a Stream Deck or use Touch Portal and want to speed up repetitive tasks. Editors working on tight deadlines or doing lots of layer manipulation (splitting, trimming, applying effects) will benefit from one-button access to frequently used commands.
Note that the profiles are built for English keyboards. Non-English keyboard users may need to remap some commands manually. Touch Portal users must have Touch Portal Pro to run the included profile.
