Advanced Mask Editor 2 gives you precise control over mask editing and animation in After Effects. Edit expression-driven masks, merge animated masks, and transform mask paths with dedicated tools that go beyond After Effects’ native controls.
Key Features
Animated mask support. Works with both static and animated masks, letting you merge two animated masks into one or copy and flip animated elements without breaking keyframes.
50 animated presets. Pre-built mask animations you can apply directly to your layers.
Cut button. Split mask paths at specific points, useful for creating partial reveals or segmenting complex shapes.
Transform tools. Flip horizontal or vertical, rotate 90°, mirror, and use free transform on individual mask points. Convert masks to shape layers when you need path-based effects.
Solo Mask. Isolate a single mask for editing while temporarily hiding others, similar to layer solo but for masks.
Mask Duplicate. Copy masks across layers or within the same layer without manual recreation.
