What It Does
Add Anchor Point breaks After Effects’ single anchor point limitation. It lets you place unlimited anchor points on any layer, each controlling position, rotation, and scale independently. This makes it possible to create complex animations that pivot, rotate, or scale from multiple points on the same object without splitting layers or using null objects.
Key Features
Unlimited anchor points. Place as many anchor points as you need on a single layer. No artificial limits.
Independent animation controls. Each anchor point can drive position, rotation, and scale separately. Animate from the center, then switch to a corner, then an edge, all on the same layer at different keyframes.
Custom positioning. Place anchor points exactly where you need them on shapes or layers. The UI shows all active anchor points and lets you adjust their positions visually.
Useful for character rigging where different body parts need to pivot from different points, or motion graphics where shapes need to rotate from shifting centers without creating dozens of null objects.
