What It Does

3D Splitter converts flat compositions into splits that exist in 3D space. You can split at any percentage point or use the Linear Wipe effect directly as a guide. The script handles all the precomposing automatically and organizes splits into subfolders to keep your project clean.

Note: This script is no longer available for purchase.

Key Features

Percentage or Linear Wipe splitting. Enter a split percentage directly or apply Linear Wipe to your comp and let the script read that position. The script creates precomps at exactly that point.

Automatic precomposing. No need to manually duplicate and nest layers. The script handles all precomp creation and places each split in a subfolder next to your source comp.

Controller null rigging. When enabled, the script creates a null at the original composition’s anchor point and parents all splits to it. This makes animating the entire split structure straightforward. You can add unlimited splits, and the null stays put at the original anchor.

Linefixer mode. After Effects sometimes creates visible lines between 3D layers. The Linefixer option applies Alpha Add blending mode to splits, removing these rendering artifacts.

Quick workflow buttons. Add Linear Wipe or Grid effects directly from the UI without digging through menus.

Dockable or floating UI. Use it as a panel in your workspace or keep it floating. All settings persist between sessions.

Who It’s For

Useful for title animations that wrap around corners, VFX setups that need image surfaces bent in 3D, or any motion graphics work where you need to break apart and reposition a composition in 3D space without manually duplicating layers.
